Last weekend I photographed the wedding of my friends Michelle and Erich down at Water’s Edge in CT. While there was some rain in the morning, it cleared up by the afternoon for a wonderful, picture-perfect day. I was so honored to be there to photograph the wedding of two people who are so important to me. Hope you have a wonderful time in Hawaii!

(This was one of my favorite moments from the day–”YES!!! We’re married!”)

Now that puppy is learning to spend a few minutes by himself downstairs, I can finally catch up on blogging!
A few weeks ago I photographed Ryan’s senior pictures in a park near his house on a beautiful summer day!

His girlfriend, who is also a senior, stopped by for a few pictures too!

I know it has been a while since I posted, but it is because there is a new resident in our home! His name is Otto and he is a Golden Retreiver puppy. These pictures are from when he was 9 weeks old–he is 12 now and getting so big! He zaps a lot of my time, but who wouldn’t want to go on walks when the weather has been so nicely lately!.

Stealth puppy!

This was the first time he saw a ball…needless to say, he didn’t really know what to make of it. He loves balls now, though!

mmmm. bark. tasty.

With one of his nine siblings!

Last weekend I photographed the amazing wedding of Kristina and Toby down in Rhode Island. First I started at the Biltmore, where Kristina was getting ready. She and Toby had decided to do their formals pictures before the ceremony, so the three of us jumped in the limo and headed to Moses Brown–the school where they both went…and fell in love. We had a great and relaxing time walking around the school and seeing where they first met. I can’t believe they know the exact spot–how cool is that (see pic below). Then we met their families at Prospect Park for formals, then to the ceremony. After the ceremony the three of us were dropped off on a little street in Providence where their favorite crepe shop is. And yes…they ate a crepe! Yay! : ) Then off to the Biltmore for an amazing cocktail hour on the terrance and a lovely reception in the second-floor ballroom. Congratulations!
This is the spot where they met!
(Disclaimer–this was their idea!!! haha)

(Kristina–a perfect figure skating jump! : ) )

She walked halfway down the aisle with her brother then her dad met them for the other half.

mmm. Crepes!

Toby surprised Kristina by playing Ben Folds’ “The Luckiest”…it was so sweet!

I love how bright this cake is!

After a few week break, I had an amazing wedding this past Saturday! Sarah and I went to high school together and she contacted me last year about photographing her wedding to Tom. When I heard that it was going to be on an island off of the coast of Portland and that I had to take a ferry there, I was hooked! I couldn’t wait for the day–and it certainly didn’t disappoint! I had so many images to choose from!
The wedding took place on Diamond Cove, which is on Great Diamond Island. Sarah and Tom rent a house on another nearby island, Peaks, so this area is really special to them. You can get to Diamond Cove either by ferry from Portland or by water taxi. The ceremony was held in the art gallery and the reception was in a tent catered by the restaurant.

Tom seeing Sarah for the first time. : )

It was a little “dusty” in the room after the ceremony (or was it allergies?)!

This was right before it, well, poured. To say I got a little wet would be an understatement (my umbrella went to saving the bride!)! Everyone, though, was still in great spirits! The three flower girls were adorable!

Tom proposed in this gazebo!

They rented a private ferry to get their guests back to Portland after the reception (or to continue to celebrate around the harbor). Sarah fiddles and her group played beautiful Irish music on the trip. It was awesome and so unique!
